A Salon Built Around a European Vision
Chez LouLou was founded in 2012 by Brigitte Rist, following her travels through Paris, Florence, and London. What she brought back shaped everything: a vision for a salon that carried the atmosphere, technique, and personal care she had experienced abroad, delivered for the community she came home to.
Since opening on Kercheval Avenue in Grosse Pointe, the salon has grown around that founding standard. Every member of the Chez LouLou team reflects it, each bringing their own depth of training to the work.

The Credentials Behind the Work
The team holds certifications and credentials from some of the most respected programs in the industry. Brigitte Rist earned her Master Colorist Certificate in Paris, and Renée Wojtylo trained at both the Vidal Sassoon Academy and the Goldwell Academy.
The salon’s stylists have participated in New York Fashion Week for five consecutive years, and the team travels to Europe regularly for continued professional development across hair, skin care, and permanent makeup.

Brigitte Rist
Brigitte founded Chez LouLou in 2012 after completing her formal hair education in France and earning her Master Colorist Certificate in Paris. With over 20 years in the industry, she specializes in color, highlights, balayage, and the full range of hair services that define the salon.
Lindsay Trudell
Operating under her Humble Beauty brand from within the salon, Lindsay is a licensed cosmetologist and certified permanent makeup artist. Licensed by the State of Michigan under Body Art and Tattooing, she has trained alongside top permanent makeup artists. Read more about Lindsay and her services.
Renée Wojtylo
Renée brings more than two decades of industry experience and holds a Master Colorist certification earned through training at the Vidal Sassoon Academy and the Goldwell Academy. She specializes in corrective color.
Matthew Common
Matthew completed a two-year apprenticeship at Chez LouLou and has participated in New York Fashion Week alongside the salon team. He specializes in balayage, haircutting, styling, and extensions. He is also a certified scalp massage specialist trained in the salon’s Japanese head spa technique.
Misty Balido
Misty is a licensed esthetician with more than two decades of experience providing custom facials, body waxing, and professional skin care. She is also a certified scalp massage specialist trained in the salon’s Japanese head spa technique.
Olivia Hutchins
Olivia has completed the salon’s cosmetology apprenticeship program. She has extensive experience with color, haircuts and up styles, with special expertise in curly hair. She is also a certified scalp massage specialist trained in the salon’s Japanese head spa technique.
Laurel Lamb
Laurel is a stylist & assistant here at Chez LouLou. She graduated from the Paul Mitchell School and is passionate about doing hair. Her goal is to achieve great styles and color.
Amy Ayan
With over 30 years in salon management and customer service, Amy brings the same standard of care to every client interaction at the front desk that the Chez LouLou team brings to every service.
Myrna Perez
Myrna has an extensive background in art and design. Gaining a reputation in the fashion industry led her to a successful styling career in Florida. Myrna’s expertise ensures that our guests are provided with great customer service.
