All services at Chez LouLou are by appointment only. To schedule, call us at (313) 647-0525 or submit a request through our contact form, and our team will find a time that works for you.

We schedule every appointment by phone or through our contact form. This gives our team the chance to confirm the right service and allocate the proper amount of time, so nothing is rushed on the day of your visit.

The salon is open Tuesday through Saturday. Tuesday: 9 AM – 7 PM. Wednesday and Thursday: 9 AM – 8 PM. Friday: 9 AM – 6 PM. Saturday: 9 AM – 5 PM. We are closed Sundays and Mondays.

Yes. Our Kercheval Avenue location has a paid parking lot, and street parking is also available along Kercheval.

All services at Chez LouLou are available to clients of any gender. Every client is warmly welcome, including those booking a scalp massage, facial, or permanent makeup services.

Yes. We ask all clients to place a credit card on file when booking. Cancellations within 24 hours of a salon appointment, or within 48 hours of a permanent makeup appointment, may result in a fee. Full details are available on our Policies page.

Chez LouLou provides a full range of hair services, including haircuts for men, women, and children, along with color, balayage, highlights, lowlights, blonding, color correction, and keratin treatments.

Yes. We offer a consultation for new clients booking hair color or specialty services before their first appointment. This gives your stylist the opportunity to understand your hair’s history and goals before any work begins.

Our team includes multiple Master Colorists with training from Jacques Dessange in Paris, the Vidal Sassoon Academy, and the Goldwell Academy. For complex color corrections and precision blonding, that depth of training is uncommon in the local market.

Our Japanese head spa is a luxury scalp treatment delivered on a specialized spa bed, available in 60-minute and 90-minute sessions. Chez LouLou is one of a small number of facilities in the tri-county area to offer this service, with certified specialists on staff.

Yes. We stock a curated selection of professional products for clients to take home, including Manon, Color Wow, amika, Olaplex, IGK, Circadia, and René Furterer, among others.

Comfort varies by individual and service. Most clients find the experience very manageable, and Lindsay tailors each session to minimize discomfort. The majority of clients are genuinely surprised by how tolerable it is.

Longevity depends on the treatment, your skin type, and how you care for the area afterward. Lindsay recommends wearing SPF daily, avoiding harsh exfoliants and retinol near treated areas, and scheduling periodic color boost sessions to protect your investment.

Yes, but a consultation is required first. Clients with prior work are asked to submit photos for Lindsay’s review before an appointment is confirmed. The previous pigment should be sufficiently faded for realistic expectations and the best possible outcome.

Certain conditions may make a treatment inadvisable, including pregnancy or nursing, active acne, use of blood thinners or Accutane, and some other health factors. If you have concerns, reach out before booking and Lindsay will help you determine the right next step.
